wiring up this Dakota Digital gauge cluster has actually been incredibly simple. back in the good old days, the C5 Corvette filter/regulator was the only logical choice for nearly all LS swaps. now, unfortunately, they have become much less reliable than in the past. not only is reliability an issue, but if you have a little bit more aggressive combo with a larger fuel pump, the C5 filter/regulator is easily overpowered by 340 lph and larger pumps, like this OBS has in the tank. it's fairly easy though to swap that old filter out for a new setup, albeit a little more pricey. it is, however, worth the peace of mind to have constant, steady fuel pressure. #bentune #hptuners #GM #obs #lsswap #tuning #Chevy

entering the final stages of repairing & tuning il this LS swapped OBS truck. now that the gauges & lights are all working and we're ready for the final stages of the tuning process, I noticed the fuel system is falling short of delivering the desired amount. this 2004 Silverado was dropped off after, I believe, an engine replacement and a supercharger was removed from it. the current owner does not know exactly everything that is done to it or what problems may exist, so he brought it to me to get it sorted out. the first thing I had to do was replace the MAP sensor due to it being a 2 BAR unit. this is unnecessary in a naturally aspirated vehicle so I replaced it with a factory one bar map sensor. after getting the truck to run with a new base map in it, I noticed an issue with the O2 sensor readings. this could be many things, but the quickest and easiest thing to test is swapping sensors side to side if there are no obvious intake or exhaust leaks that could be causing a false lean condition, as indicated here by the low O2 voltage. if the problem follows when the sensors are swapped, then we know the sensor was the issue and that's an easy repair. #bentune #hptuners #dyno #tuning #mustangdyno #Chevrolet #lsx

start working on this 2013 Hot Wheels edition Camaro SS today and it decided to be a problem right off the bat. this car is equipped with a @Brian Tooley Racing Stage 3 camshaft along with an intake and exhaust on a freshly rebuilt LS3 engine. after getting my base calibration uploaded to the car so that I could go make some data logs, I immediately noticed a similar condition to an older Silverado I've been working on. the O2 sensors were not reporting correctly. upon inspection, I thought I found the culprit, but that turned out just to be another symptom... #bentune #hptuners #Chevy #Camaro #SS #mechanic #tuning
