Rococo beauty and the beast ✨project announcement✨ 💛 Hi so say hello to my first official project of 2025 and this one is going to be a little different 🤗 I am thinking of this dress as a mix of every technique I have wanted to do but have not had the time for and a chance to truly show myself just how much my skills have improved and make something I am really proud of! So this will be my 2025 project of the year which I am going to be working on throughout the year behind the scenes! Do not worry I will still be working on projects as normal this will just be a project that will get a new updates here and there but will take the whole year! Some of you might not know but I did my degree in historical costume! I have been wanting to make a historical dress based on a princess for a long time ever since a group of friends and I discussed historical Disney princesses at university! I have been thinking about a historically accurate Belle from Beauty and the Beast ever since and this year I will finally be taking the plunge! My aim is that I am going to be making a gown inspired by Belles gold dress from Beauty and the beast but making it inspired by the historical time period Beauty and the Beast was based (The Rococo period- roughly 1730-1770 France) I have taken a lot of inspo from historical clothing, portraits, fashion plates, artwork like Sakizo, and costume designs from films like Marie Antoinette (1938), La Belle et La Bete and Peau de’Ane and I am so happy with the design I have come up with (I still need to illustrate her properly!)
