I had the idea for sleepless actually on a sleepless night. It was a tough time in my life to be honest. One in which I wanted to express the grief of being separated from family. I was also inspired by James Dean who was constantly seeking to be seen and acknowledged by his dad. At the same time I wanted to include the hardships of building a life in nyc from scratch and the longing for different one. Worries and feelings can be overwhelming and keep us up at night.
