Trust me, this mayo is the secret ingredient your burgers need! 👌 Hellmann’s Smash Burgers with Pickles & Caramelized Onions For the Patties: • 1½ lbs ground beef (80/20) • ¼ cup Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise • 1 tsp kosher salt • 1 tsp black pepper • Optional: ½ tsp garlic powder or smoked paprika Caramelized Onions: • 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced • 1 tbsp Hellmann’s or butter • Pinch of salt • Optional: splash of balsamic or beef stock to deglaze Burger Sauce: • ½ cup Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise • 2 tbsp ketchup • 1 tbsp dill pickle relish • 1 tsp yellow mustard • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce • Pinch of salt & pepper Burger Build: • 4 soft brioche or potato buns • 8 slices American or cheddar cheese • Dill pickle chips • Optional: extra mayo for bun toasting Instructions: 1. Mix the Patties: Combine ground beef, Hellmann’s mayonnaise, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix lightly with hands (don’t overwork). Form into 8 loose 3–oz balls for double-patty builds. Chill if prepping ahead. 2. Caramelize the Onions: In a skillet over medium heat, add a dab of Hellmann’ and sliced onions. Cook 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until deep golden and jammy.
