When season 3 of HBO’s ‘The White Lotus’ premiered, fans were outraged that the iconic war cry, or the ‘ooh-loo-loo-loos’, were missing from the season 3 theme song. Well it turns out that this wasn’t composer Cristóbal Tapia de Veer’s decision, but rather show creator Mike White’s, and Tapia de Veer was not happy either 😱 For season 3, White wanted the theme song to sound like “background music… a song that is more like something you would listen to in Ibiza.” Tapia de Veer told The New York Times, “I texted the producer and I told him that it would be great to, at some point, give them the longer version with the ooh-loo-loo-loos, because people will explode if they realize that it was going there anyway. He thought it was a good idea. But then Mike [White] cut that - he wasn’t happy about that.” But that didn’t stop the ‘White Lotus’ composer from uploading the full version song with the iconic war cry on his YouTube channel, where fans mourned over the vocals not getting featured in the actual title sequence. It seems like this is the final fight between Tapia de Veer and Mike White as the composer announced that he would not be returning to the show for season 4. Whether you loved him as Ice Man or Batman, Val Kilmer is a cherished part of film history ❤️ The actor, who sadly passed away last night at the age of 65, started acting in the early 1980s, where he performed on stage and TV. His big break came in 1986, where he took the world by storm with his performance as Tom 'Ice Man' Kazansky in 'Top Gun', starring alongside Tom Cruise's 'Maverick'. In the years that followed, Kilmer went on to star in classics such as 'True Romance', 'Batman Forever' and 'Heat', fully becoming a 90s icon. In later years, Kilmer struggled and beat throat cancer, leaving him using an electric voice box in order to speak. This didn't stop him reprising his role as 'Ice Man', as his small but touching role in 'Top Gun: Maverick' was achieved by digitally altering his voice for clairty. ‘A Minecraft Movie’ has been going viral recently, not just because of its star studded cast, but because cinema screenings for the film have been wild. Many movie theatres have had teenagers screaming, throwing popcorn and even bringing in live chickens to screenings, with the crowd going insane during the scene when Jack Black’s Steve yells “Chicken Jockey!” This has resulted in people being kicked out, screenings being cancelled, as well as special screenings being put on, allowing crowds to be more interactive. The Hunger Games official account has revealed that Joseph Zada has been cast as a young Haymitch Abernathy in the upcoming prequel ‘Sunrise On The Reaping’ 😯 The film, similar to the book of the same name that was published in March, is set 40 years after the first prequel ‘The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes’ and will take place 24 years before the events of the first ‘Hunger Games’ movie.
