Meet Papas, he was born completely blind but that didn’t stop me from giving him the best day ever. At just 1 & a half years old, he’s already been through so much. But today, he got to feel loved, free, and seen. I found Papas at a sanctuary run by the incredible Tina Marie, who’s dedicated her entire life to rescuing disabled animals and showing them that they’re still worthy of love, joy, and a future. Tina’s work is pure love in action. But she can’t do it alone. He was diagnosed with cancer in June 2022, fought with everything he had, and rang the bell twice in 2023 to celebrate being cancer-free. But in March 2024, he relapsed.
